HOL“LIE”
Chadwick
Failure. Cover-Ups. Deceit.

Hollie Chadwick campaigns on “Truth. Trust. Transparency.” But her tenure as Henderson police chief was marked by bad decisions, costly failures and a loss of confidence that ended with her termination.

Cocaine Found in a Narcotics Detective's Desk - No Drug Test Ordered
In October 2024, cocaine was discovered inside the desk of a Henderson narcotics detective. When asked whether the officer had been drug tested, Chadwick admitted that no test was ordered:
“The officer was not drug tested because he was not under the influence and there was no reason to test him.”
Chadwick called the incident an “unfortunate oversight” and defended the detective by noting that he worked long hours and had not previously failed a random drug test.[3]
Racist and Homophobic Slurs - Then Chadwick Cleared His Record
According to witness accounts, Detective Kevin LaPeer used terms including “s******,” “d****,” “g******,” “f****** Mexicans,” “f******” and “t*******” to describe Black, Latino and LGBTQ people.
An outside investigation concluded that LaPeer most likely used offensive and derogatory language at work and found numerous policy violations. LaPeer denied the allegations.
The investigation kept LaPeer on paid administrative leave for 17 months, during which taxpayers paid him more than $135,000. Chadwick later cleared his disciplinary record and thanked him for his “professionalism.”[4][5][6]
Chadwick's Leadership Failed. The City Terminated Her.
Hollie Chadwick did not retire as police chief. After being placed on administrative leave, she rejected a proposed separation agreement, and the city terminated her employment. She claimed she learned her termination through the media, yet the city has a memo bearing her signature acknowledging it.[11]
Now her campaign website attempts to rewrite that failure, falsely claiming she “retired” in March 2025.[10]
If Hollie Chadwick won't tell the truth about how she lost her last job, why should Henderson trust her with the next one?
More Than $1.2 Million in Lawsuit Payouts Under Chadwick’s Watch
after an innocent Navy veteran was wrongfully arrested and jailed for eight days.
after a police operation destroyed an innocent homeowner's townhome.
Separate lawsuits involving a police-dog attack, and a prisoner that died in custody during her tenure remain pending — meaning the cost to taxpayers could continue to grow. [7][8][9]
Officers Accused of Covering Up a DUI Kept Their Jobs
An internal investigation found that officers lied, falsified a report, muted a body camera and created a false alibi for an off-duty officer suspected of driving drunk.
Chadwick reversed recommendations to terminate them. The officers spent approximately 18 months on paid leave, costing taxpayers nearly $400,000.[1][2]

Henderson Taxpayers Have Already Paid the Price
Failure. Cover-ups. Deceit. Henderson cannot afford to put Hollie Chadwick back in charge.
